Harry gets surprised on his 11th birthday when Hagrid tells him that he is a wizard! It takes him a while to believe him, though. He goes to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry and makes friends with Ronald (Ron) Weasley & muggle-born Hermione Granger.Together they defeat Lord Voldemort and Quirrell.

VERY good. Harry Potter's so popular you probably don't NEED a summary, but I love this series!

I love the little detail at the end of the movie, where there is a editor's note stating:"No dragons were harmed in the making of this movie".
