This book is a really great example of how much times change. This boy from the 2000s gets a new phone and finds somehow there is a ghost from the 1500s trapped in the phone. Whathisface (Cooper) is teased and made fun of for various reasons. This book is a real cliffhanger and it has a super interesting climax. I would recommend this book fro kids ages 8+, (especially if you like Shakespeare).

Wings of Fire: The Darkness of Dragons, book ten is an amazing fantasy novel by Tui T. Sutherland. Qibli (SandWing) is going to Jade Mountain Academy when an evil, immortal, animus NightWing named Darkstalker from the past rises again. Qibli uses his brain and some small animus touched objects to save the entire continent and defeat Darkstalker.

This is a really great book about friendship and love. There are terrible things that happen in this book like being wrongly helped captive, but the main character can find friendship in the darkest of places.

Smile is an awesome graphic novel by Raina Telegmeier about Raina as a kid. She falls and damages her two front teeth leading to four years of long, hard, painful and annoying dental treatment. I recommend Smile for grades third to sixth.

OMIGOSH. This book is soo good. It is about a girl who writes a letter to a boy in Zimbabwe and it turns out to be an amazing life long relation. They both consider each other brother and sister even though they are teased it may be a bit more. The girl (Caitlin) finds out the boy (Martin) is struggling to afford to stay in school and even afford food and housing, her generosity helps the whole family from clothing to education and everything in between. This is a really amazing book that reminds you how much of a difference you can make. I would recommend this for kids ages 8-any age.
