Tombquest was alright. It's about this boy named Alex who's mother uses the Lost Spells of the Egyptian Book of the Dead to bring him back to life. Not only does Alex come back, though, but also the five Death Walkers, and his mother disappears. With the help of his friend, Ren, he goes on a mission to rescue his mom and set everything right. It was interesting and adventurous, but not so great.

Above World was alright. It's about a girl named Aluna who lives in the ocean with all the other Kampii(which are pretty much mermaids) in the City of Shifting Tides. But when the tech that allow Kampii to breathe water begin to fail, it's up to Aluna and her friend Hoku, the only ones brave enough, to go above on land to find a solution, along with some other friends they make along the way. It was a little interesting and adventurous.

The Penderwicks is an interesting book. It's about how four sisters are spending their summer vacation in a beautiful place called Arundel. Then they meet the son of Arundel's owner, Jeffrey. But his mother is not pleased with the Penderwick sisters playing with her son, and warns them to stay away from him. When they find out that she wants to send him to a military school, they are determined to help Jeffrey prevent this nightmare from coming true. It's really fun and exciting, and I like it a lot.

I enjoyed reading Wilder Boys. It's about these two brothers, Jake and Taylor, who's mom is really sick and who's dad left their home in Pittsburgh several years earlier to go explore the wilderness in Wyoming. When they discover a dangerous secret that Bull, their mother's boyfriend, is hiding, they decide they have no choice but to go find their dad with only his old letters and journal to help them. It's a long and dangerous journey in the wilderness, and, what's more, people are looking for them. I thought it was really exciting and adventurous.

Sky Raiders is a pretty good book. It's about this boy named Cole who goes after his friends into a mysterious passage that leads to the Outskirts, an in-between place made up of five kingdoms. When the magic there becomes unstable, Cole and a girl named Miri are determined to settle things and hopefully rescue his friends and find his way home. I liked it a lot; it's really adventurous and exciting.

I liked the Time Fetch, though I didn't love it. It's about how these four friends discover a Time Fetch, a stone that sends out foragers to collect the time that is not missed or regretted. When the foragers are awakened, they begin to multiply and eat away at the time. Soon, buildings are crumbling to dust and disappearing. The four friends have to stop the foragers from unraveling the universe and return their world to peace. The book was good, but I wouldn't recommend reading it.

I'm a little more than halfway through The Finisher. So far, it's about this girl named Vega Jane who lives in lives in a village called Wormwood which is bordered by what's called the Quag, a dark forest filled with horrid beasts and Outliers. Then a friend of hers go's into the Quag but leaves a map of the Quag and a message for her. Then she slowly discovers that everyone is being lied to in Wormwood, and that there is more to the world. And she tries to find the truth. I'm not planning on finishing it because it's kind of boring and there's almost 500 pages in the book. I don't recommend it.

I didn't get very far into The Luck of the Buttons. It's kind of hard to understand and I was confused about what was going on in the beginning, because they don't really tell much about the characters and the setting. So I just stopped reading, and I don't recommend it.

I really like Princess Academy. It's about this girl named Miri who lives in a small village on a mountain called Mount Eskel. Suddenly, her life is forever changed when all the Mount Eskel girls are sent to an academy to compete and prepare for royal life. But when danger arrives, Miri must find a way to save her friends and her village's future. It's a really captivating book, and I recommend it.
