This book was FANTASTIC!!!! The writing quality and use of suspense, foreshadowing, and numerous, chilling perspectives in the novel by gifted author Nova Ren Suma landed this novel at the top of my favorites list. The characters are honest and real, brutal and twisted, misjudged and misunderstood. Tension builds with every sentence and chapter as you wait to find out who's really innocent and who has or hasn't gotten what they deserve. This book gives weight to the idea that everything isn't always black and white and that the line between justice and injustice, true and false, is a lot foggier than you think it is. Everyone should read this book. "The Walls Around Us" is an exceptional read.

I thought Amy Tintera's "Rebel" was a really great read! Tintera instilled the perfect balance between action and romance and I thought this sequel was just as good, if not better than, "Reboot". I liked how Callum Reyes' perspective contributed to Wren Connolly's narration and how original characters' personalities were consistent with the first book even as new characters were being added to the mix. This was a novel definitely worth reading and it proved to be an amazing continuation of an amazing first book!

"Vanishing Girls" was amazing! The descriptions of both characters and the places and things they saw were so realistic, I could honestly see real people living the lives Nick and Dara did, messing up the same rooms, volunteering at the same rundown amusement parks, driving in the same average-looking cars, feeling the same ways about the same things. Everything felt so relatable. I can honestly say I've seen places similar to what author Lauren Oliver described. But then, the sisters' lives upended and became a whole lot crazier then anyone's I know. The mini twists were shocking and the final one was nothing I ever saw coming. Even that single jaw-dropper is worth the read! Loved this book!

I thought Lauren Oliver's "Panic" was a really good book, even if I feel like it could've been even better if more came of the challenges in the game. The storyline was amazing with great potential and I think readers who fell for "The Hunger Games" trilogy would really enjoy. I thought the characters were really well-developed and worth rooting for. Also, and I know this will probably sound stupid and unimportant, but I actually really liked how the two main characters described in the description on the back did not fall in love with each other. I liked how their relationships weren't automatically with each other simply because they were the two the story mainly focused on. Anyways, the suspense was great and I liked how aspects of the story were touched down on and then brought back in later to influence what happens next. It's like you're told about something so you can read on and think, "Of course! I knew that would make a difference!" Overall, a really good read.

I thought "I Was Here" was a really well-written book with a great storyline and a lot of thought-provoking concepts about life, death, bravery, and choice. I would like to give it 3.5 stars but that isn't an option so 3 works. The reason I didn't give this book more is because it was pretty slow-going most of the time and never reached the level of "good-ness" I thought it would. However, I still liked it well enough and I think it's still worth recommending.
